a completely different environment
Welcome to Metro Oklahoma City, located at latitude 35°N. Not too bad you might think, since Orange County is located at 33°N. Unfortunately for our coastal tastes, we also have to contend with another factor: land. As you can see in the weather representations below, what we can expect in Oklahoma (thunderstorms, scorching sun, freezing cold, snow, hail, tornadoes, you name it, we probably had it somewhere, sometime) is wildly different from what we can expect in Orange County (namely, overcast in the mornings, sunny but not scorching rest of the day, cool evening).

For the sake of recentness, the family photo has been removed. I'll try to get a new one up soon (as I can pin the rest of them down).

Our house was completed in November 2011. (Long live the Leu Residence of Metro Oklahoma City.) You can read the saga of our building experience here. We're quite pleased to be living in something more permanent than our own apartment, no matter how many quirks it might have. I'm sure that we'll have a full report for you some time soon.
Meanwhile...
Life goes on. As do death and taxes.
Right. You want more than that. Well, school continues to be exciting and dramatic... as school can be. Enough said on that. Driving... now that's a lot of fun. I have had the pleasure of being the chauffeur in training, and I'll graduate (in Oklahoma's eyes) June 2013. A few close calls here and there, but I've improved since last year. (Contrary to statements by Mom. Ah well.)

If you know our family, we don't go out and explore. We're cavepeople, reluctant to venture outside of our newly completed domicile. So, if we're missing something from the community at large, let us know. You never know, we may try something new.
